Who We Are
Our Core Values
Children are at the heart of our mission. These four values shape how we serve, lead, collaborate, build relationships, and share the love and hope of Christ.
Every person bears the image of God and is worthy of dignity, compassion, and respect. We foster a culture in which children, families, staff, volunteers, donors, and partners feel welcomed, valued, and connected to a shared purpose. For the children we serve, belonging means helping each one know they are seen, celebrated, and deeply loved. Throughout BIFF, it means listening well, leading with grace, and recognizing that people are never merely projects, numbers, or resources.
Every detail matters because every person and every gift entrusted to us matters. We approach our celebrations, relationships, decisions, and responsibilities with thoughtfulness and care. We pursue excellence not for recognition, but as an expression of gratitude and faithful stewardship. From the beauty of a Birthday Box to the way we communicate, collaborate, and use our resources, we seek to ensure that our actions reflect the value we place on people and the importance of our mission.
Our faith is more than something we express; it shapes how we live, lead, and serve. Because God loved and gave first, we respond with joyful generosity—offering our time, talents, resources, creativity, and hearts for the good of others. We seek to reflect Christ's love through humility, integrity, compassion, prayerful leadership, and service without judgment or expectation. We work together as the body of Christ, recognizing that each person has something meaningful to contribute to the mission.
Christ is our true and lasting hope. We trust His love to heal what is wounded, restore what is broken, and bring transformation and renewal. That hope shapes how we respond to children facing difficult circumstances, how we support one another, and how we navigate challenges as an organization. We move forward with faith, courage, and perseverance, believing that God can use both small acts of love and collective efforts to create lasting impact.
Rooted in John 3:16–17
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
Our mission flows from God's great love for the world and His redemptive purpose through Jesus Christ. These values guide our decisions, our stewardship of resources, and our work within our community.
Dear Lord,
Guide us each day by the love You revealed to the world through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Make us Your hands and feet, carrying Your love into every relationship, decision, and act of service.
May we extend that love to all whom You place in our path, but especially to the children You bring within the reach of this mission. Keep us faithful to our first calling: to share Your love with each child and help them know they are seen, celebrated, and deeply loved—by us and, above all, by You.
Give us humility to serve, wisdom to lead, joy in giving, and courage to move forward in hope. Amen.
