For the 2024 Festival of the Lake, Brooke It Forward will host an arts and crafts booth where children can decorate the envelopes for the birthday cards that go in each Birthday Box.
This will be a (simple) hands-on project where children attending the Festival can decorate one or more envelopes using crayons, markers, stickers, and the like. Volunteers oversee the activity, collect completed envelopes, share information about Brooke It Forward, and share candy/stickers with the children in attendance.
This simple project provides a WIN-WIN for children in our area. The children decorating the envelopes contribute to the Birthday Boxes in a meaningful way and the children receiving the Birthday Boxes are blessed with an extra special personal touch!
